Speed skating statistics
Events
 The most important speed skating races in The Netherlands are held in the Thialf Stadium in Heerenveen. Every year there are races for the world cup and often for european and world championships.

 Tickets can be ordered here.
Transport
 Heerenveen is a city in the north of The Netherlands.
When you come by plane (Schiphol Amsterdam), you  have to take the train to Amersfoort and then to Heerenveen, station Thialf.

 In Heerenveen and other cities nearby there is plenty accommodation available.

 The 42th edition of the Amstel Gold Race (in Limburg, in the south of The Netherlands) will be held on 22 April 2007. From this year, the greatest cycling event of the Netherlands will no longer be a World Cup Race, but be part of the new UCI Pro Tour.

 You don't need a ticket to see the race.
Transport
 If you want to visit The Amstel Gold Race you can better come by car to take the best spot at the 'parcours' (pdf-file).
If you come by train to Maastricht you can take there several busses.

 In Limburg there is enough accommodation available.

 After the Dutch Open there are three tournaments to be held, the Master of Darts in Hengelo (Expocenter), the International Darts League in Nijmegen (Triavium) and the Bavaria World Darts Trophy in Utrecht (Vechtsebanen).

If you come by plane to Eindhoven you can take the bus to Veldhoven.

Master of Darts
If you come by plane to Amsterdam you can take at the airport the train to Hengelo. At the station in Hengelo take bus 51 to the Expocenter.

International Darts League
If you come by plane to Amsterdam you can take at the airport the train to Den Haag CS. At the station in Den Haag CS there are busses to de Uithof.

 Bavaria World Trophy
If you come by plane to Amsterdam you can take at the airport the train to Utrecht CS. At the station in Utrecht CS take the bus line 6 to Mississippidreef.

 The Dutch TT in Assen is the most important event in The Netherlands.

The TT Circuit Assen invested in both circuit and accommodation again, but didn’t forget the race fans. Just as last year, 8 Big Screen Vidiwalls, each 40 square meters, will surround the TT-track, showing the live TV race images. All persons having a grandstand seat have a direct view to one of the Big Screen Vidiwalls, which are located at all grandstands, so that more than 60.000 spectators can see the Dutch TT for over 200% LIVE!

Transport
 If you come by plane to Amsterdam, you can take the train at the airport to Assen.
At the station in Assen, there are busses to the circuit.
If you come by car to Assen follow  instructions on the highway (A28).

 In 2007 the UEFA under 21 Championship will be held in Heerenveen, Groningen, Arnhem and Nijmegen. The tournament will take place from 10 to 23 june 2007.

 The three most important events are the FBK games in Hengelo and the marathons of Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
Tickets
 The marathons are free of charge. Access to the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam (Marathon and Honorary Seats) is free with head sponsor ING presenting various spectacular acts.

 In The Netherlands there are two important tennistournaments: the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam, the world's largest indoor tennistournament, and the Ordina Open in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the only grass tournament.
